Polygonatum, Solomon's Seal in the shade of my red Camelia. Another shade lover with pleated leaves.

Still to come Solomon's Seal sawfly, decimated the clump in the back garden last year, saved some and relocated it to the front. So far so good.

From blank ground, they shoot up quickly, must be in nature to flower before the tree canopy takes the light.
