Apparently it is going to be a bad year for the little perishers because of the milder winters, to be honest I have not noticed a big increase but now I have said that I bet I shall regret it!!!

Little B's ate my new clematis today :(

its such a shame when that happens, you desperately need frogs hopping around to scoff them up!

Certainly do. Dispatched Scott off the golf with a jar yesterday but he didn't see any tadpoles or spawn.

If you were closer you would be able to take dozens of taddies home. The pond is awash with them and newts. I spend ages just watching them up there, they are getting really fat now. No legs yet though. Love to see how they develop and grow - so pleased with the pond life.

Yes, well you never know, maybe a frog will find it this year. But I do have a sneaky plan to pop up the hill to the ponds and see if there are any there. and I might sneak up to the golf course as well and see if I can hunt some down myself.

We have frogs in our tiny barrel, but they seem useless at eating slugs or snails....... sorry!

I'll be so chuffed when my aquilegias are that big! I've been doing some weeding myself tonight! We seem to have a lot of slugs this year...the consequence of evicting the sparrows!
