Foxtail lily bought at Hampton Court Flower show last year. I've tried for years to grow these but never managed it as my garden lays too wet in winter because of the river. These are in a huge pot with lots of drainage and they seem to like it.

If you are able (I know nothing about what can & can not be grown in various parts of the UK), the Eucomis grandiflora should do well as it likes lots of moisture and it gets just as tall.

Thanks Wylie, I have the run of the mill pineapple lily but it only grows about a foot high. I'll think about the taller one.
I have tried a few times Klahanie with no luck. I followed the instructions which said to put them on a sand base higher than the compost so those "spidery" lags were hanging down, the topped up with compost. Even then only two of the three I bought came up but I'm happy with that.

I will try then one more time and follow this direction. Thanks Thorneyside.
