These things have something in the region of 40 to 400 legs, depending on it's age, sometimes more. Which in my book is an awful lot of socks to wash.

I suppose it was about 2 to 3 inches in length Thorney. I have never seen one myself before. But I do seem to be getting a lot of insects this year in some sort of form or another. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.
I have looked it up on the internet and I think it's called a 'White-Legged Snake Millipede'.
