All looking good, Linda, and you make me feel guilty not making more of an effort with veg. I only grow salad leaves for the tortoises now.

We only grow a few courgettes, beans, leeks and parsnips on this little patch and in the greenhouse just a few tomatoes.

Hi Gee at least home grown lettuce is nice to pick and your tortoises get a treat.
Thanks Waddy, we enjoy our little space.
Hi DD the beans are in the ground now ready to climb the wigwams. We always start them off in the greenhouse then plant them out. Runner beans are Wisley Magic ....also (French climbing bean) Blue Lake.
Hi Vjd we've grown squash before, when we did have a large vegetable plot, and they need a lot of space, but they are a lovely crop to grow and keep very well.

Good luck with them, nothing beats home grown veg, as children we only ever had veg from the garden..... spinach was and still is my favourite runner beans, sprouts baby broad beans, and lots of herbs.

We love vegetables too DD and as children we had fresh veg too. My parents only had a very small garden then but dad always grew runner beans

Thanks Timmyh, It's only a small garden but we enjoy looking after it and also like to grow a few vegetables too.
