Intersectional Peony Julia Rose flowering on the pathway. I like the intersectional types as the foliage is not as floppy as the normal border types, and not brittle like the tree types.

It is lovely, but like most Peonies the flowers don't last long, this one changes colour as the flower ages going from pink to a soft copper colour and then you have massive seed pods that stay on the plant all summer
