Rhopalostylis baueri - Norfolk Island Palm (Rhopalostylis baueri - Norfolk Island Palm)

My Norfolk Island Palm is liking the cooler than normal temps. This palm has been in the ground since 2005 from a 5 gallon pot. It's now 12' (4m) tall and has a 3 foot (1m) trunk. Photo taken June 13, 2016.

That's a perfect looking Shaving brush palm. Congrats Andy..its only going to look better and better.

I had planted one. It took only a couple of weeks for a gopher to find it.
So far,I'm learning that Gophers dont like King and Howea and Phoenix palms,Cane Begonia's,Tree ferns.
I thought they didn't like Monstera..but one gopher seems to lately.

Here' in San Diego I've seen King and Kentia palms affected by gophers, mostly in Northern San Diego County.
