Have taken cutting from my Cistus creticus, very successfully, never tried this one though. Also seed, but this might not come true, as a named variety. You know to take cuttings from non flowering shoots, if you try.

I will try take a cutting from a non flowering stem, thank you. So taking cuttings from non flowering stems always applies to shrubs does it Siris ? ?

Plants put their energy into producing flowers, then seed. Your cutting them off is upsetting their desire to reproduce. The timing of taking cuttings is important too.

Thanks Siris. My dear dad always took cuttings the third week in July from shrubs and that is what I will do, from non flowering stems ?

I think the flowers are so tissue like, love the crumpled look, particularly the colour of this one.
