Daylily Watchyl Lavender Blue' for my file (Hemerocallis)

Love the colour, would love it even more if I had not knocked off a petal or 2. An Iris for Daylily swap with Simbad.

Gg, As a knowable Daylily enthusiast, how many petals should it have, I think I knocked off two.

There are some more buds to open, but not being knowledgable about Daylilies was not certain they would be so big, even if they retained their full compliment of petals.

Siris, being an expert in the Iris field!! I never know what to do with my Iris mostly Siberia when they have finished flowering, do I deadhead just the top 4ins or cut the stalk right down to the bottom?

How nice to be called an expert, which I am not, just a small enthusiast in a small field/garden, - bearded Iris. I only have a couple of Sibericas, and just cut the heads off after flowering, by the time I have remembered they have usually started to develop pods. You have no beardeds, do you? I dead head beardeds immediately the flower shrivels, then cut off any brown end bits on the leaves regularly.

Thanks Siris......I used to have some bearded years ago........but lost them due to ignorance........will pop out in the rain and remove the heads of the Siberian ones...

Looking good :-) , this is a very fast increaser too , they should have 3 petals and 3 sepals looks like you've knocked one of each off ;-)
The flowers on all the Watchyl series are huge Siris, the bigger the better for me.

Thank you Simbad, I do like it a lot, more so seeing it for real. Photos don't do full justice to Spiders.
