My older potted Celadine (1997) has that same shape in miniature.
I have two in the same pot..I need to divide since one has big glossy leaves, the other Celadine has flat non glossy leaves, slightly smaller leaves and flowers. I got that one at Walmart, the bigger nicer plant was a gift cutting from Hawaii.

Just noticed, the other Celadine has a flower bud on it. The newest leafs have burnt edges. Its been hot,and I guess I watered it a day late. The nicer Celadine is fine.

It's kind of nice the way this one grow. If it was upright it would be around 10 to 12 feet, I'm guessing.

Plumeria typically like to be in a pot by themselves. They have quite a high nutrient intake.

Plumeria tree love fertlizer! They like the light, regular feedings. They look better, fuller and bloom best.

I think you are right..I should divide it into two plants. They really are two separate types of Celadine.
Why did I put them together? Because both in the winter one year had root rot -or gophers for one in the ground.
They were just about rootless. So,I put them in one pot inside the house.
My older one not only has the shape of the one in the photo it also has sort of that same bark look.

No,wait- they were both in ground..just not right next to each other.
If not for gophers I would have Bizmarckia and Shaving brush Palms...plus ornamental gingers,Chamedorea palms in ground. I came within a whisker of losing both Plumeria's.
Too expensive to try again. But,I see another yard with those plants in Hayward thriving. He's not near the hills like I am.

The posted Plumeria appears to be pretty old. I would guess 25 years old. It too bad they let it go fall over...it would be pretty tall.

I remember when I lived in Fremont, Mission San Jose. I was always battling gophers. They're horrible rodents!

My friend in Fallbrook plants all his plants/trees in chicken wire when they first planted in the ground because of gophers.
