My favourite shade of yellow is this lemon yellow, and love the green throat.

While there is a need for the solid coloured ones, you can only have a limited number of each before they begin to look alike. I find that the patterned ones change from flower to flower on the same plant, so there are surprises all the time.
Summer isn't quite really to show up here. It's a lot warmer, but overcast with a high dew point that gets everything above ground wet while allowing below ground to dry out.

I know. It also causes a type of rust that shows up in the spring or late autumn. Not the daylily rust, but a different type that goes away in the summer.

I agree..I love the self coloured ones the most. Mine are producing some good numbers of flower stems this year, which is a relief after the 'no show' last year. But last year was so so grey and so so cold. Thank goodness at least we've had 'some' sunshine this year.
