These have been going for a while. About 4' tall.

What an excellent site, Pacific Bulbs. Thank you for looking at my flower, one of 6 to the head. The first opened, followed by the others, then it drooped down and a pod started to form, but I cut it off, because I could not cope with anymore of this size.

I joined the Pacific Bulb Society, and they are an amazing source for bulb information. There is an e-mail discussion forum that gets really technical at times.
It takes a while before bulbs get to the very large size.

I looked at your photo, thought I have to have another sniff of the scent before the flowers are gone....been to conservatory......delightful......till next year.

Whylie, the flowers on this look very very similar to the one on the bulb I bought in Madeira. 6 scented flower on a very long stalk. Perhaps you could glance at my photo, about a page ago. I thought maybe it was giganteum, till I saw yours.
