Waddy, when I picked up the pot to photo it there were ants and woodlice beneath ... yuk! Must check for aphids now :o(

Usually, when I lift a pot it's woodlice and slugs....yesterday I put salty water on them. I'm so sick of slugs! And yet, we haven't had too much damage this year. Most of my Hostas are still pretty good. I doused the golden border and the raised beds with nemaslug last week. That should keep them off my clematis for a while.

The trouble we gardeners go to .....

What kind of coffee grounds Shirley? maybe the ants prefer decaff..or maybe they don't :o)) x you need a label on for them to state a preference ,then go for the opposite..sorry,I'm having a daft senior moment..I'll be ok soon ..after my decaff coffee ! lol

Sandra, I'm wondering what you had for your breakfast as it's obviously affected your level of 'daftness' today, ha ha!

You have cheered me up no end though as we've just got back from visiting Mum. I helped her with some tea and toast, then she asked my name and how long I've been a nurse :o((

Only some Granary bread,toasted ,Shirley,and a cup of tea :o) Must have been the thought of going out for fish and chips for lunch..and a nearby GC afterwards....I did really need to get out more:o) ..aw,poor mum..so sad isn't it?

We did Shirley,thank you..all the bedding plants were on sale,so I was firm,and only bought two packs..Begonia Semps..6 for £1,and a 4 pack of Pelargoniums..£ 3.50p :o) .It's sad but it did make me smile a little,about going for a bike ride..Did she used to do that at one point in her life,? I wondered if it was a memory...x

They were good prices Sandra ... Mum did used to cycle a lot so I guess it was a pleasant memory for her ... :o)
