Love Lucifer, always early too. My hollyhocks and Lucifer are still in bud.

Yes its Lucifer Angela , Dawn none of these plants should be here its my Lily of the Valley bed ,the holly hocks have self seeded the Crocosmia was moved the other year this plant has grown from a left over piece in the ground Lol ...

They look lovely together,Amy..I should really have split my Crocosmia's again this year,and got rid of a few..but I do love their fiery colour...mine have just come into flower now..

Have a special place in my heart for "Migrants"... ;-)
Those hollyhocks are such a deep colour! ..beautiful. My HH are just starting to open! None to rival the huge one that grew in the transfer bed last summer ..it was close to 12 ft. tall! I had crocosmia and got the corms mixed up with acidanthera, which I lift every autumn. As a result...not sure what's coming up this year...it appears that the crocosmia has left the building because all the buds look like acidanthera. ...rats. Must be more careful.

Cannot grow Alcea, have given up with them...but we can certainly grow Crocosmia.....is it Lucifer Amy?
