Core Values x Don Herrell

Core Values x Don Herrell

I can't get enough of this one. Its patterns change with every flower, and this is the most complicated one I have seen on it - so far. The changing pattern is also a trait Core Values has.

It's getting to that time of year again when I'm just running out of words for your seedlings !!!, Woweee!!

I really don't like the heat of summer, but it makes the flowers look their best. This one gets better looking with every flower. Core Values is better as a pod parent than as a pollen parent.

I tried again yesterday to take a picture of Core Values but I can never capture that pattern!

Thanks! I have had a couple really large flowers on Core Values this past week, which I made crosses with. If the clump in front isn't flowering, the one in one of my back areas, is. I have pods on both clumps using Bird Talk, Whale Tails, and Web of Illusion; so look for some spectacular patterns in the future.

It is a new one I got in May. I have several new ones with scapes, and very soon Fancy Face will open. 3 scapes on Marseilles Watercolor, as well. I will use the pollen, but not try to set seed on them.

Sound fabulous crosses Wylie !!
I had a first flower open today on 'Alpha Centaura ' x 'Purple Cheetah' the flower was a good size at 7.5 inches and opened perfectly but another purple!!,when I looked closer though two petals had the spotting on the edges so maybe one to watch ?, there are 3 others from the same cross with buds too so fingers crossed.

Definitely one to watch since the whole purpose of using Purple Cheeta is to try for spots (see 'Granny's Smokehouse').

just had a nose Granny's Smokehouse

light purple with darker purple spots, darker purple eye and edge

Yes I've been searching the offspring of Purple Cheetah and it does seem to pass that spotting on when used as a pollen parent doesn't it , I thought I was going to have another from the cross open today but looks like it'll be tomorrow , I'll post a picture of the other one later to see what you think, I keep zooming in on the picture definitely a bit of spotting ;-)
