Gosh, that's lovely. I'd be lucky to get this Clematis to flower before mid August. :) Usually it doesn't start until September. Its one of the best later flowering ones though and well worth the wait.

My Polish Spirit is on the East facing wall of the garage, so just starting to bloom, never so many flowers as yours because of the situation.

That's it then. .... location, location, location. It was something like £2 from Home Bargains. ?. Your Etoile violette was loaded though so guess in a good spot.

Etoile is in full sun, one each side of the lounge window, tried to get one out, but refused to go, keeps regrowing, so be it.

What a fabulous show of flowers on your clematis I've just started this year with two in a large tub they are called Miss Bateman and Rouge Cardinal and guess what they are both purple but haven't grown very well so hopefully I will get some advise on this.
Really I'm amazed with this show.

Follyann, You've been sold a "pup", neither of your clematis should be purple, Miss Bateman, white, Rouge Cardinal, red.

Etoile sounds a tough cookie siris, I like the sound of her

Ours is doing well this year......not liking the intense heat though.

DD I looked at this today and thought the hot weather hadnt done it any favours.

No ours are getting scorched......
