Melica ciliata

I admired the Melica in a Devon garden a few years ago (Wildside), and the wonderful owner, Keith Wiley, dug some up for me! So I treasure it . . .

I can see why you treasure it Sheila. I grew mine from seed, although I just hope it doesn't seed itself in the lawn.

My favourite grass ,it self seeds prolificly here ,in fact thought I'd try a seedling in the wood near the steps and its doing great!

Guess from whom the seed came, Simbad. The blue curley whirly grass (name escapes me) also from your seed has had a drastic hair cut, so no pic.
