It's the first time I have tried this type and I like it. Only 4 seeds germinated from a packet of 8. They are squat, short cucumber, very knobbly and ridged but a nice tasting one. They are about 6" long. Big enough for two people. We ate this one today. It was very nice. There are loads more coming along nicely.

I do have them too. I bought about 10 plants from my local Nursery and they are very productive. I picked up 10 on Sunday, but my wife did not like them. They may look unusual and tasteless to my wife, but I tried one and found it not bad. We prefer the Mediterranean type baby cucumbers which we also grow, but do not taste as good as the imported ones.

I have just gone out and cut another 5 cucumbers. There is some taste but are all very watery. Is it because I water them a lot, or it is just the varieties? If I do not water them for a day they wilt. I grow them outside in big trough planters. Are yours watery too Homebird?

Lovely home grown cucumbers. They are so succulent cut straight from the greenhouse. We haven't grown any cucumbers this year or peppers, only tomatoes.

I put an overripe banana under my tomatoes and that seemed to get them going.

Are they the same as the ridge cucumbers I used to grow years ago? These rambled over the ground tho', so I wouldn't have described them as bush.
