Looking at this photo it has actually grown a fair bit since I've planted it.

Yes, they are fast growers, you are going to be pleasantly surprised at how fast it will reach it's mature height, and the more sun you plant it in, the more purple the foliage, mine is in too much shade unfortunately I don't have a sunnier spot for a shrub this big .

I have it in quite a a lot of sun and I was worried that the sun would do it damage so that's good news then :)
