Colchicum "Innocence" (Colchicum autumnale (Autumn Crocus))

Didn't flower last two years but it seems to have started forming clumps. White petals with tiny raspberry pink spots.

Looks nice, have only just replanted mine gave them a few weeks in the sun to ripen them.Fear they would have rotted in the ground.Did yours originally come from Kevock bulbs they are the only ones I have seen offer it at a reasonable price

I haven't dug it since I planted in the raised bed of the garden but so far so good.....

I purchased one huge bulb from a nursery @ RHS London Show 4yrs ago and it cost me around 3 quid or so. They soon divided but didn't flower in recent years......

It is obviously happy where you have it.I would like a situation where I could do the same,But I am stuck with a lot of rain and quite heavy soil ,but lots of other things grow in it if not the majority of Colchicums.

I planted these colchicums very near helleborus and cyclamen coum.....I'm sure they will be too clumped....

Ah......soil type may be an issue.....needs a good drainage.

I don't think cyclamen will be a problem but continuous shade from Hellebores might be

Suppose it depends on how large the hellebores are,in my garden they grow large almost to large and nothing much grows beneath them.it must be comparatively dark all the time.
