Despite the drought I see many of these subtropical fruiting plants. Some just planted. It say something that ornamental plants are no..but edibles still going strong.

I put seedlings I started last year in the ground. Again. I put them in a bad spot in early summer. When I cut the Brugmansia down,It became a much better place for them.
They hadn't grown or rooted I found when I dug them up.
Maybe now they will.
I still want a plum or Apricot..waiting for the bare root season.

That's strange. Cherimoya has a horrible, big root-system. They usually take off when in the ground. It does need full sun, though.

I'm thinking Kiwi on my wire fence too!..There is a variety called Hayward. Meant to be.

Kiwi is a really nice vine. It grows fast, also. I do know that variety. It's not named after the Hayward the city, though. lol!

This photo is of species Annona cherimoya..
It's an easy plant to grow in the Bay Area. I've seen many there. Many even went through the 1990 freeze with very little problems.
