I've tried several of these in the past Sheila but they always seemed to die, but this one is a number of years old now and gets very big. I have to cut it back every year. It flowered last year - I was very surprised and pleased :)

We too have lost several in the past...... apparently it is quite common but, very annoying all the same...we have just one left in the garden which has to be cut down to keep it from taking over the garden looks to be the same as yours Hywel, except ours is still green!

Mine is never green. This is it's natural colour. I didn't know there were green ones.
