The side sat there empty for three years. Finally decided to start filling it up. Looking at the photo I can see where I need to plant along the side of the hatch way to the cellar so that it doesn't jump out at you when you walk into the side. The grass area where you walk on to go into the side is where my little dog Maxi does her business. Never in any other location in the back garden. GOOD GIRL MAXI :)

Once they get a pattern established they will usually stay with it. I bet when you first introduced Maxi to the garden this was where you took her for her business. We did the same with our lab Bella. We took her back into the trees when she was a puppy and that is where she goes. We even use a word association technique, so she knows when ever we say the word she is supposed to go do her thing!

I transplanted some chocolate pyeweed along the hatchway so now it hides it as you walk into the area.
