Damson jamming time.

I only had 4 pound of damsons this year so it only made these few jars. Delicious, but it's such a pain lifting out all the stones as it boils though.

Well done you for making the jam properly . . . when OH's aunt asked if she could make jam from our damsons, she then gave us a jar. She had NOT taken out the stones! :((

Can you push it through a metal colander? Would that work and make it a bit quicker?

Pushing thro' a metal colander is what I do to get the pips out of red currants after cooking, Karen.
