Oh flower later than I thought then Wylie next year I might sink them in a big pit less disturbance if they are in there quite late.
Oh no that's a shame Siris ,the lilac one you sent (labeled invasive) name escape me at the minute has more flowers open too :-)

I usually overwinter the Acidanthera inside. The purple one, Gladiolus papilio? puts out stolons with satellite corms on the end. Just trying to consolidate these into a couple of pots, whilst still visible.

I planted mine late but they have bloomed and are now hanging their heads... ready to be dug up for winter. Planted a whole bed of the little bulblets to bring them on for next year. Don't you adore the scent?

One of mine is flowering now, but just one! Others don't look like having any bud/flower this year. Gutted.

Yes I will dig this up before long Siris, down to one small greenhouse for a while, till the new one comes in January so struggling for space , went in today and Hector, who has a bed in the greenhouse ,had knocked pots off to get to his bed luckily nothing damaged !!
Oh Lori I didn't realise they had a scent ! , full of cold at the moment, I never get cold !!, so not smelling much at all.
Aaaaaw ones better than none Tommymoo ;-) , how you doing ?bet you aren't missing all the travelling ;-), enjoy!

I usually plant a "gathering" of them, Simbad. (maybe a dozen corms inside a circle about 15 inches in diameter.) near a window or doorway and close to the Bouncing Bette. Their aromas blend well and a slight breeze will carry the sweet fragrance in the morning and evening coolness.
