Yes, I did do them. My family were needlepointers, and we all learned young. It's a bit like a coloring book. But the wool and silk colors can be ravishing.

A great way to start needlepoint: get yourself some blank

canvas, a couple of colors, preferably Paternayan. Square the canvas, leaving about a 4" margin. And begin following the instructions of the most simple booklet you can find. I used to do these and put them in the middle of a plain pillow And they look great!

I can assure you I couldn't even dream of producing something as beautiful as the work you do.
