Love these but never succeeded in keeping the slugs off them.
maybe a really large trough up off the ground /but can i look after any more troughs. last count was 23 !

Thanks both ,I moved these last year they've spread out beautifully in their new spot , its not slugs here Brian I was surprised to find Red Lilly Beetle on them , nasty things !

I had two of these last year Amy...this year, not a sign. Ah well that's gardening for you I suppose.

Just squashed a lily beetle today. I thought they had finished for this year.

No sign of mine yet, probs of the slugs/snails/lily beetles got them. ?

So, Lily Beetles like Lilies, TRICYRTIS, and Fritillaries, bad news.

Siris...it is a constant battle.....us and them.???

What a shame Waddy , I've never seen the Scarlet Lily Beetle on these in previous years as you say something else to keep an eye on :o(

It looks a lot like the cultivar Taipei Silk Amy.
Lily beetles are a problem with Tricyrtis.

Before I moved them they were planted in gravel Keith maybe that deterred the Beetle , they are growing and spreading really well since being moved but are in soil just the right conditions for the dreaded beetle .. Grrrr

Personally I think that anywhere they can have sex are the ideal conditions for Lily beetle as they always seem to be mating when I find them!!!!!!!!!!!
