when it starts to die down cut of the stalks to about 3 inches , dig it up wash the soil off and turn upside down to dry for two weeks out of the rain and in the sunshine ? (helps the water drain out of the stalks ) , keep somewhere cool and frost free ..bingo !!!!

I also dust mine with flowers of sulphur to prevent fungus & store in dry cocoa fibre in a box.

Thank you. My problem is that they always shrivel up to nothing. I keep in stored in a cardboard box in the basement under the steps. It's dark, cool location. I will try the sulphur & cocoa fibre
