Vivid colour of JM Osakazuki.

Vivid colour of JM Osakazuki.

I have this tree in the pot for many years now. It was my first Japanese maple. Osakazuki grows quite large in ground. I did once took it out of the pot, trimmed roots and the tree itself slightly and repotted in fresh soil. I might do that again soon.

Thank you Thorneyside. We were in a garden center today and they had JMs displayed in front and Osakazuki was definitely the most noticeable plant there. Although, I liked couple of others as well. We went there to pick up a Japanese maple (to cheer me up on a very dull day) but I decided on Camellia (2 of them)

Klahanie - I also went to a garden centre yesterday to cheer myself up on a very dull day! I hoped to buy a Bougainvillea, but none there so bought a lemon and lime Nandina - very pretty.

(And OH has just come in with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, so I'm all smiles now. Hope you have a better day too :)))

LOL. Garden centers should change their sigh to "Garden center and Mental Health Unit" :-)
The reason I got camellias is that they are evergreen and they bloom in winter.
Japanese maples are breath taking at this time of year but soon they will be leafless. I snapped picture of Japanese maples in the parking lot (all for sale) and posting it for you.

I love Nadina as well. Had to google Lemon and Lime because I have never seen it before. It is very pretty and cheerful. I would buy it too if I would come across one. Good choice.

Thank you Klahanie! There seem to be more than one new Nandinas on the market now - and this one is certainly new to me. I couldn't resist it.

Thanks for the link too - what an amazing display of Acers!
