Really lovely Paul. We have just moved our two pots of Dahlias into the greenhouse as the nights are beginning to get cold now.

Yes it's that time of year again Linda. I can never seem to hold onto my dahlia tubers no matter how diligent i am. By February, they've either turned to mush or sawdust depending on the humidity level. By March, all i have are empty boxes. Lol ! But i enjoy them for as long as i can with an eye to something new for next year.

I cut my Dahlias back then let my them dry out in the pots. I then get them out when they have died back and get all the soil from the tubers and place them on to a seed tray, placing some dry compost over them until the Spring, then I repot them, give them a drop of water but not too much to start with. (Just keep them moist enough until they start showing growth.)
