Return of the 4 O' clocks...

These have 3 or 4 years in one. They sprout,grow,go to seed and look shabby,and then I cut them down. 3 or 4 four times a year! The only plants I have that do that. From dry areas of Chile i never have to water them..what they get now is from the newer plantings around them.But they went 40 years without my help before.

I learned to love them.
They sprout from huge tubers that look very fat Yam like. They have been used as Bonsaish by lifting all but the bottom of the Tuber.

I love it when a plant revives after being chopped Stan. Love the bright colours .

Thanks Sandra..the plants seem to have sorted out on their own a mix of colors for a nice border.
