Salvia uliginosa - 2016 (Salvia uliginosa)

This perennial carried its top growth through last winter unscathed so I did not cut it down in the spring. As a result it has performed better than ever before, and has been in flower for over two months now, and is carrying more and more flowers.

Salvia is used as condiment, flavoring here, mainly for chicken.
