Most of the blooms in the garden are gone so these are welcomed. They are not as fragile as colchicums and brighten the otherwise sad spot.

I am glad they have been here Stera. I probably would not think to buy them.

What a wonderful display they have given you.

Thank you Thrupenny. They are lovely.

I would not have thought of it either Klahanie. The bulbs were a gift from my sister about twelve years ago and have more than doubled their number since then.

Beautiful colour Klahanie. Put my pale pink to shame.

We were both "accidentally" lucky Stera.

They're lovely. Have seen plenty growing in the neighbourhood & they do seem to last a nice long time.

Thank you Feverfew. Surprisingly they do bloom for a long time and stand out well to rains we are having lately. Not like my colchicums which got completely destroyed by the first downpour.

Oh that's wretchedly disappointing Klahanie - what a shame.

Thanks for your sympathy Stera. Unfortunately they love to be in full sun but they are also exposed to full rain when it comes down hard. They are so delicate .
