About 20 of these have shown in the garden in the last few day between 4/6 in across have seen many different ones from puff balls to dead mans fingers over the years but never this one.can any one name it.

No idea Brian ,I'll get my book out later ,we're having a lot of Fungi growing in between the fruit trees I kick them over to try to stop them spreading we're also having masses of tiny ones all over the lawn not much bigger than a match stick with a small cap on top ...

Amy the small ones are the ones that make the fairy rings.
I went through 200+ pages of Collins guide to mushrooms and toadstools but did not find a definite match

I have had mushrooms also that I have never seen before. Darn, should have taken pic. We have had so many rains
after none all summer, I would not be surprised at anything.
Even the oncoming election.....

I couldn't find a match Brian but they do look a little 'past it' on the photo , I found a hopeful if so the older ones apparently smell of household soap ,you'll have to send Jamie down on his hands & knees to report back with a sniff !! we have fairy rings each year in the lawn but they do come in circles ..
