Temperatures dipped to 0 last night and this what we found this morning. Looks pretty....but is melting fast....even though temp is only couple of degrees. Nice change from rain.

Oh. Lori...keep warm. We have lots of snow but it is still hovering around 0. Not incredibly cold but I am worrying about my trees and shrubs, They are all bended to the ground. Perhaps some broken branches.

It should melt fairly quickly Klahanie. it's amazing how they bounce back . We have two very large white pine on our property line visible from the kitchen window...we've had wet snow and the lower limbs almost touch the ground but then it gets really cold and the wind whips up the ice and snow sublimates. The limbs go back to normal with no apparent damage. fingers crossed for you. Between ice, snow and deer I've come to look upon winter damage as nature's pruning.

We got some more snow Lori. I hope you are right.
I just posted a picture of one of "my" deer trimming our laurel hedge. Which is fine with me because they do not touch it in other places and I have an evergreen Portuguese laurel few meters away and they are ignoring that.
