Grey Squirrel on a Grey Rainy Day

I was chasing them from the feeders most of the day, otherwise none left for birds. (and they are messy eaters to boot)

He dug 689 holes in my garden and planted a forest of acorns.

And then he'll dig some more, looking for the acorns he's buried . . .

uggh, then he'll find my tulip bulbs and forget all about the acorns...and oak trees will be popping up everywhere next spring- - where's that hawk when I need him?

You need to keep an eye on him...! We had a "couple" in our loft, a few years ago... They are a devil to evict...! Gggrrr...!

Same happened to me Tracey. He actually gnawed through my roof to get into the attic, causing a couple thousand dollars in damage. That's when I had to use brute force.

Same here Paul! When they started partying in our loft, one weekend, they managed to keep friends, whom were staying the night, wide awake...! We decided enough is enough and we had to call the Squirrel catcher to help...

LOL, I love your sense of humor. I've read they can cause a fire if they chew through electrical equipment and they smell to high heaven. They would not leave peaceably, so I used my pellet gun and cut down a few trees.

One day when I went into my garage/workshop, one came in skipping over the beams...! It stood watching me hissing at it like a snake... :D

I had claw marks over some of my oasis frames...! We managed to evict them ourselves that time, but they got their own back when they decided to graduate to the Bungalow roof...!

Our main problem then was that we couldn't find where they were getting in - Neither could the squirrel catcher!!!

Those rascals; once they start having babies up there, forget it. They'll fight to the death, preferably theirs.

I know that was our concern with the Mr & Mrs Squirrel in the house loft... Unfortunately, there are many of their "cousins" skipping around our garden stealing the wild bird food and peanuts! Ggrrr!!!

We have a squirrel trap which worked , we were taking them to a wood miles away but were then told its illegal to move them as they are vermin we should drown them . yikes !

Yep, I had to use my pellet gun when they invaded my attic. They were chewing up my record collection & photo albums and scream throughout the night.

Quite scary Paul ,I'm imagining you holding up a record full of shot holes Lol .. records are becoming popular again ,I left my old ones outside in the arcon where they warped so no good to anyone now i had some very old ones as well from my father ... we have wasp nests in our loft the telecommunications engineer was stung on his last visit he wasn't a happy man ...

Gosh Amy, poor guy! I'm sure that was extremely painful for him. It happened to me too. I had to soak my foot in epsom salt. Epsom salt draws out the venom and helps the swelling go down.

I'll remember that Paul , my OH was literally covered in wasp stings one year when he disturbed a nest in the compost bin he came running in the kitchen covered in them ,its a good job he didn't have an allergy to them , I'll soak him in an Epsom bath the next time it happens ...

LOL I keep a big box of it next to my bathtub. It's good for a lot of things, including plants.
