African Violets

The latest in my collection and re-purposed a favorite old coffee mug. African Violets are one of the few plants with a true blue flower. I couldn't pass up this one at 50% off.

Thanks Siris, i just brought this home today. I'm glad you like it. I drilled a hole in the bottom of the mug.

That's a good idea, plant can have a humid atmosphere around it, stood in that dish. I sometimes put the pot on a little platform, push a wick up the hole, with the other end into the water.

Oh I see what you mean. I'm going to try that. Then I can just put water/food in the dish without wetting the leaves. Good idea!

Delonix1 - This plant doesn't have a name. The label just says "Violet - grown in Ontario Canada."
