does it get any more stems or is this its form. Yes it would get lost in a border. its a pretty colour though.

Sbg - the Alpine Garden Society website says it has a "tuber large and corky with several growing points", while a vendor's website claims "more floriferous with age." I take this to mean it can have more than one stem, but it may need a more fertile soil than in my raised bed. It is also self sterile, so I won't get any seedlings from my solitary plant.

The unusual is always interesting tho'.

the several growing points will mean it produces more flower stems and the older it is the more growing points :o)

I will look forward to that then.
