Chimonanthus ........ winter sweet

We had a lovely sunny late morning, so warm, but then it was ruined by rain again this afternoon...
This shrub has a lovely fragrance I understand?

I think these are lovely but wont thrive in my chalky soil.

Angela the flowers are so high up I can't smell them there are a few flowers lower down in bud I'm hoping to smell them when they open ... thats a shame Sbg but then you can no doubt grow plants we cant to make up for it ...
