Specie narcissus, only a few inches tall. Flowers very early and is hardy, but the flowers need some protection in wet weather.

Pretty Andrewr but I'll bet you've had to give it that protection this last week with all the rain we've had.

You've lost the bet. This has had no protection at all. It is growing in a raised bed though which helps with the drainage and means the flowers don't get splashed with mud.
