I love this one Angela I have it growing up the side of our Arcon its so thick and heavy the birds nest in it , be warned or keep it pruned :o)

Amy, I usually prune all our ivy in early spring, great to have the blackbirds nesting in yours....

I have this over most of the fences in the back garden and have had Wren and a robin nesting last year , only takes a few years before it flowers as well

Can be a bit tender depending where its growing

Gnarly this is growing on the inside of our garden wall, so very sheltered, would love to see it flowering, not good for nesting though too easy for the local cats!!

Dd, your front wall is low like mine ? what a good idea growing ivy up/over. I have a small ivy( don't know the variety) on the back fence. Might plagiarise your placement idea, if you don't mind.
