Yes, there is orchid fertilizer you can add to the water bottle. Then just spray the roots every other day. I found it makes a big difference. What kind do you have?

I have orchid fertilizer, I just never use it. lol!
I used to keep all my orchids outside until they would develop spikes...then I would bring them indoors. I used to have Cattleya, Cymbidium, Epidendrum, Oncidium 'Sharry Baby', Dendrobiums, and Phalaenopsis. Now, I only have Dendrobium kingianum, which stays outside and is almost ready to flower. My Phalaenopsis is in the house because it has a flower spike.

It might be a little hungry. I'd love to have a cattleya, but not sure how to take care of it. They can get pricey.

I was really upset when my Cattleyas dried up and died. This horrible drought has taken a toll on so many of my plants. I had a really nice, rare pure yellow Cattleya. I paid $3.00 for a pretty large plant at Quail Botanical Gardens. I had a white one I paid about the same for, also.
Luckily, Cattleyas are pretty cheap here.
Cattleyas grow best outside here in semi-shade with little water; however, they should be misted often in summer.

It looks terrific! Mine just has a flower stalk. It gets so neglected and never any fertilizer. Do you fertilize it?
