Euphorbia amygdloides Purpurea

If I could paint, I would love to have a go at painting this. Love the shapes and colours in the photo.
Anyway, I CAN'T paint so I shall add this to my favourites instead!

The colours are interesting in a lot of the Euphorbia group, but I don't grow them anymore having been 'burned' by the sap in the past. Beware!

I haven't had that problem with mine Sue but I have had it with the herb Rue my arms were in a dreadful state with that ...

I think us woman are doomed to wear rubber gloves with plants as well as washing too rose thorns can kill so be aware of those too Helliborus can give an allergy rash to I have had it.

A lovely plant,and colour Amy..I have one with similar colouring,but can't remember the name..it has finer foliage,so maybe Martinii ? no idea really ..ha ha..anyway,I have a couple of seeded ones,so that's nice..:o)

I have a seedling from 'Black Pearl' which so far , fingers crossed , has variegated foliage , I spotted it while weeding last spring and potted it up new growth this year is still the same, exciting :-)

Yes, Thrupennybit, Anti Tetnus booster injections are important for gardeners, particularly those over 50, (out of date, the injection, not the person, ha ha), who get their skin punctured, use manure and generally grub in the soil.

Thank you Siris for the tip I am 62 have nt had a Tetnus injection since I was a young child ups perhaps I am out of date ?

3pbit, The nurse said anti tetanus needed updating, when we went for injections prior to visiting India, 3 years ago.

I can understand that if you went to India thank you for letting me know learning recently about immunisation s recently its put me off having any thing .
