I was trying to take some photos of three Moraea aristata flowers open at once, and Scruffy came over to get in the photo and take a quick whiff of the flowers.

Just a curious cat. My attention was on the flowers instead of him, so he had to see what was going on.

He looks like a lion tasting the air for pheromones.

Thanks! These flowers are opening at the right time - between early jonquils and the late spring crowd. I have a couple of gladiolus that will be opening soon, and a Tritonia.

I wish I could move to the Azores. I'm sick of the bay area traffic and crime.

Back in the 60's, a friend of my Grandparents lived out in Walnut Creek, and he would commute to San Francisco every day, a trip that took him about 1 hour each way. I had a summer job in Alameda that I would come home from using the Nimitz Freeway and then San Pablo Ave. because it was faster than the freeway up to Albany. I can't imagine the traffic getting worse

The Nimitz is a nightmare. Its like rush hour even on weekends. Its also a pothole hell. Rated the second worst freeway in the country..after one in Los Angeles.
I avoid San Francisco..what a nightmare to navigate. The streets..it almost laughable because so much of the streets are various colors- for buses,taxi's,bikes,..and all are tickets if you cross them. You really have to use BART or Muni..and yer legs to get around..lol.
