Has been fleeced over the winter....

It is now 7 years old, could risk putting it in the ground, but, not prepared to take the risk!!

It looks very healthy. One that size must be very expensive there. It can grow large in the ground. It takes a very long time to get to 15' (4.6 m) tall, though. This is the most commonly grown cycad outside here in San Diego then Cycas circinalis which is more tropical and grows much faster and taller.

It has taken 7 years to get like this, so yes slow here Delonix, and expensive to buy at this size......

Here one the size you have is pretty inexpensive maybe 10 - 15 dollars. The large ones sold here which are available with 6 or 7 ft (2m plus) of trunk are very expensive 200 - 400 dollars.
