Amy honestly, we did, went out for a coffee then decided on lunch, and just behind us in the cafe we could see into one of the nurseries holding bays, and there they were, beckoning to me......lol

Siris we do have two other banana plants, but they have not come through the winter very well, so to be on the safe side bought another one!! belt and braces!

It looks great! I could never grow a banana indoors without it getting spider mites. Luckily, I have several varieties growing outdoors here. This year I hope to get bananas on them again. Last year the severe 6 year drought took its toll on my bananas. I didn't get any fruit on any banana plant!

Oh dear what a shame Delonix, because you usually have some very scrumptious bananas....

Yes, no bananas, papayas last year because the ground was so hard, like concrete from the extreme 6 year drought. Even drilling holes around the plants and watering couldn't help. I'm so glad this season we had a lot of rain. Yay!

The only concern now is the weather is getting warm to hot for this time of year. The ground is drying out already!

Oh dear no.......

Yes, the last week has been almost unbearable HOT (85 - 93ºF (29 - 34ºC)! It's too early for such constantly hot weather. It's suppose to cool down a little next week, though.
