Ornithogalum dubium (Ornithogalum dubium (Geeltjienkerientjee))

Keeping it dry and hot over the summer them warm and frost free over the winter seems to be the best way to grow this spring bloomer from southern Africa.

A very nice plant! In the thumbnails I mistook it for a Cliva!

Thanks all!
It didn't bloom last year but the summer bake certainly worked. As with most things it's easy once you know how.

Meanie:

What's a "summer bake?"

Thank you Milky.

Delonix - it means keeping it hot and dry during its dormant period in the summer as it would be in SA. It works well with most winter blooming SA species.

Oh, it's a summer dormant plant. Some of the California native plants go dormant in summer, also (especially in the deserts). It's when we have hot weather and no rain.
