Kenilworth Ivy sprouts under Euphorbia trigona. (Cymbalaria muralis (Coliseum Ivy))

Cymbalaria I didn't plant, sprouted on its own. I don't know what it is ..but Cymbalaria seems to prefer sprouting under my Dry plants- even cactus.

It's a nice accent under that E. trigona.

E.trigona is a rock. It takes wet soils or very dry. It only wont take 28f as I learned in 1998. BUT!, this Trigona-rubra Andy is much closer to the house as you can see and Its only had tips nipped by rot in some winters at worst.
I have a feeling its rooted into the ground under the pot. Thats ok,it allows it to get bigger on less water.
Why the Cymbalaria favors full sun and C&S pots is a mystery to me.
Over the years I've tried transplanting it. ALWAYS died. But,just wait awhile and it pops in a pot of its own choosing.

I didn't know E. trigona takes wet soil. My plant, in the house gets almost no water. It's almost 7' tall (I purchased it as a small 8" plant in 2001). It'll have to be taken outside permanently soon.

That's strange that Cymbalaria dies when you transplant it. Its roots must be very sensitive to moving.

I'm always pulling it out of the Dioon also. If I let it go?..it will cover the whole caudex/trunk.
When I have pulled pieces to try in other spots? Wilts very fast. I toss some potting soil over it...but,no go.
I guess pots provide what it likes.
