This plant has gone all through winter in bud.
Due to the warm weather the flower buds were coaxed open early, to show off the gorgeous petals edged in a dark brown pencil line.

Thank you Thrupennybit, some times I think marigolds can be underrated by some, but I think they are great.

I like Marigolds the ledgend is if you cast seeds of marigolds along your pathway your man will never stray from you.

I used to plant pot marigolds (calendula) in the greenhouse beneath tomato plants to keep white fly away.
Hadn't seen this one before though.

I do to, HB, calendulas are much under rated I think.
