Dotty, I keep it in a pot and over-Winter it in the cold greenhouse, just in case we have a bad Winter! What a pessimist I am .....

I have Acer japonica Aureum and I have had it 30 years and its about 5 feet tall now and when I bought it it looked like a dead twig about 7 inches high .....

Yours would make a realy nice bonsai as well ....

Gg, that's interesting about having it as a Bonsai Acer ... although I have no idea how to keep it as one! Crikey, an Acer for 30 years and now 5ft tall, that's a slow grower ... :o)
